Before getting any dog, you should research the breed to make sure it is right for you, your home, and your family. To get started, this video will teach you the basics about corgis. The end of the video features a summary of health, exercise, grooming needs. It is important to make sure these needs match your family's home and lifestyle. If you would like to schedule a visit to meet our dogs and learn more about Pembroke Welsh Corgis, please contact us to set up an appointment.
Purchase a Puppy
How do I purchase a puppy? If you are interested in purchasing or adopting a puppy please fill out a puppy parent application. We carefully consider each application to determine the best placement for the puppies. We prefer to place dogs in homes with fenced yards with puppy parents who have experience with the breed or at the very least have experience owning a dog. That being said, each application will be reviewed and considered individually to determine the best fit for our puppies. Their well-being is our top priority. If you plan to apply to be a puppy parent for future litters, we recommend coming to meet our dogs and visit Corgiville Farm.
If you are approved to purchase a puppy, you will be required to physically come see the available puppies to select your puppy. At the time that you pick out your puppy, we require a $100 cash, non-refundable deposit to hold the puppy you have chosen. The balance is due at the time the puppy is ready to go home.
Our puppy parents begin picking out puppies after their eyes and ears are opened (usually sometime after they are 2 weeks old). As soon as a deposit is placed and names are chosen by the new parents, we begin using the names at home with the puppies. In the meantime, they are color coded by birth order so that we can tell them apart easily and document their growth and development. We encourage our puppy parents to visit regularly to begin bonding with their puppy until the time when they bring the puppy home (around 8 weeks depending on when they are weaned).
Adopt a Rescue Corgi
Occasionally we find out about corgis who are looking for new homes. When we do have such opportunities we will post information about the dog on our Facebook page. These dogs are typically adult corgis. We assist in placing the dog in a new home, but cannot provide the same health guarantees as we would for the puppies we breed. Most of these cases require you to contact the person or rescue directly. We merely share the information.
